50 Metre Champs
A good bench of shooters turned out in what looked like easy wind conditions. It was not to be, it was tricky. The first round Mark Evans with his trusty Springer led the field with Geoff Coubrough and Frank Eustace hot on his heels. The second round for Mark was not so good and he slipped to 3rd but was 1st on a handicap score. Frank came through for a win with Geoff a narrow 2 points in arrears. The day was a challenge with the wind pushing shots well off line and there was that dreaded ting sound as pellets hit the metal target frame at times. Scores were: Geoff Coubrough 303, Nigel Kay 161, John Chandler 216, Frank Eustace 305, John Costain 246, Mark Evans 267, Daniel Chirac 109.
