Indoor 20 yard silhouettes and targets
The Air Rifle competition was worked out on the spur of the moment and was to be 2 paper targets with a combination of Silhouettes Rams and Turkeys giving a possible total out of 250. That's the thing about Air Rifle, the competition it is so varied, and every day the challenge can be different. Daniel Chiriac got to terms with the Turkeys knocking over 10/10. John Brogden with a borrowed rifle shot well to only be 5 points down on 245. Nigel Kay continues to improve to be third 246 and Geoff Coubrough second one point better. The day belonged to Frank Eustace who managed to go clear for the day and was awarded the most improved trophy. Keith Zehnder with a borrowed rifle shot some great groups and had a clear round of turkeys. Scores were off the rifle: Geoff Coubrough 247, John Brogden 245, Nigel Kay 246, Frank Eustace 250, John Costain 224, Mark Evans 202, Daniel Chiriac 188, Umang Mandot 169.
It was another great day and over a cuppa we solved some of the world’s problems . Well we thought we did . Cobber's getting together is what it is all about.
On the 20th of May it will be a 30 metre outdoor shoot hosted by John B with sub 12 ft pounds muzzle energy rifles . Rifles will be tested with a chronograph.
Cheers Frank Eustace
