This week's update from Frank: -
The 50 metre (sub 30 ft/lb) and 30 metre (sub 12 ft/lb) challenge 23th April 22.
It was a perfect day for shooting paper targets at 50 metres and 30 metres. Some might have thought there was an advantage shooting at the shorter distance. But the three shooters on 30 metres av. 330. And the 5 shooters at 50 metres av. Was 320. So not a lot of difference. Geoff once again showed us a clear pair of heels at 30 metres with a total of 370. 2nd was Nigel K 347. Geoff had the best 10 shot group of 48 on then on a 47 group there were Brian C., John Ch., Mark E. And Geoff the results were , firstly , 30 metres . Geoff C. 370, Mark E. 322, Brian C. 300. Then at 50 metres Nigel K on 347, Frank E 340, Adam K 321, John Ch 305, Brian C. 300, John Cos. 288 . Although there was almost no wind there was enough to make it interesting and it doesn't take much to drift a 15 grain pellet off course.
Keep those pellets flying straight, Frank
