This week's update from Frank: - Whata day, whata day, at the Range. A still warm day, and I think that practice on Wednesdays shoots is improving the scores markedly. John J.C. took out the most improved shooter . Congratulations John to a well deserved award. His group at 50metres was a joy to behold, he shot in a bit of wind and had a neat horizontal group. Tim brought along a first time shooter Keyleigh, who showed great promise to knock down at 15metres 7/10 Pig silhouettes. One would be thinking she had been shooting for years, not a first timer! Tim W. was back to his old form at 50 metres taking out 9/10 , 8/10 Rams and then 9/10 field targets. Mark E. with his trusty pistol knocked down 9/10 Pigs at 15metres then 7/10 Field targets. Aus John was very pleased to be back shooting with his old rifle hitting down 6 field targets and one Ram at 50 metres. Geoff C. using a sub 12ft pound Rifle knocked down 10/10 Pigs. Brian C. was going hot with his pistol knocking down 6/10 Pigs. Meanwhile Nigel K. and Frank E. were battling it out at 50 metres. Nigel scored 80,82 and 86 on targets with 9/10 Rams. Frank scored 85 and 89 on targets with 10/10 and 9/10 Rams. To day there were no winners and no losers but everyone having fun doing the best that they can. Buddies having fun.
Eltham Target Rifle Club had its A.G.M. this week and as TARC. Members and members of the ETRC we attended. The connection between the two Clubs is very strong and we feel that it bodes well for the future and maybe the odd competition between the Clubs will be had.
Cheers Frank
