This week's update from Frank: -
The AGM was held this Saturday but we still managed to get in a few shots on the Outside Range at paper targets of own choice. There was a mini battle on the knock around targets By Geoff and Frank , Geoff came out the winner and Frank muttered some thing about the so and so wind. Of all the excuses. “What wind said Geoff” Shot release and mental prep. Don't forget what I said earlier on, this is my way, it might not suit every one. That being said here goes. Your reaction time from eye to trigger takes years of practice to get right . If the sight picture you get is good, let the shot off. There is a risk of the brain taking over and the sight picture being burnt on to the retina and when the shot goes one wonders why it is not where we think it should be. The peak of concentration can only be held for a short period of time , and the shooter should be able to call the shot. There is only way to get what I have just said right. You need plenty and plenty of shots down the barrel practice, practice and Practice. Best of Luck. Shooting good , is a mixture of effort, and relaxation, amply portrayed by these unnamed pics. This is about building pressure And this is relaxation |
