Indoor Pistols
Shooting format: best 5 shot group average off the card.
Targets are 1 inch squares 5 to a round requiring 25 consecutive shots.
Frank lead round one with an average of 054" which included the tightest group of the day at 0.38"
Geoff took out the second round with an average 0.60" and the tightest group at 0.45"
Mark discovered the limits of utilising hold over when the air reservoir has not been fully charged and Frank trialled some American pellets which delivered the biggest group of the day. Traditional European pellet supplies are becoming very scarce and we are needing to evaluate alternatives.
Analysis has Mark and John very evenly matched with the pistol formats and they enjoy a respectful competition, both take good advantage of the clubs Wednesday morning practice and training session.
A pleasant morning tea was enjoyed thanks to some lovely baking by Mrs Kay. 🌹
The morning ended with a visitors session where two shooters took the opportunity to familiarise with different pistol options and following instruction demonstrated some genuine skill at the targets.
A good day out of the wind and we were all nicely indoors during some periods of heavy rain.
