TARC 10.02.2024
TARC Open Championship.
Designed to identify the clubs best all round shooter the championship included both 50 metre outdoor air rifles and 15 metre indoor air pistol competitions.
The day started overcast and still however after shooting commenced we had periods of rain and light winds to keep it interesting. There was a lot to get through so waiting for the rain or wind to abate was not an option and having covered shooting positions was much appreciated.
The first round had Frank, Keith and Nigel with numerous double bulls so it would be a matter of who could bring some consistency to their scores.
Tally of the second round had Keith with the best rifle score for the day.
Geoff 153, Frank 157, John 149, Keith 167, Nigel 154, Mark 141.
Moving indoors with 4 rounds of 10 silhouettes plus paper target multiplier.
All shooters opted for the highest difficulty level with a possible 400 points per round.
Tally of the indoor shoot had Geoff and Mark shot for shot.
Geoff 1480, Frank, 1320, John 580, Nigel 336, Mark 1480.
After a great day Club Treasurer Nigel (left) presents Geoff (right) with the TARC Open Championship Trophy with hearty congratulations from all present.
