Indoor 25 yard rifles best grouping.
2 rounds of 4 targets with 5 shots per target.
Competition rules and scoring were presented followed by the days safety briefing in the form of a pop quiz, Nigel (Range Officer) was pleased with all answers so well done all. It was noted that Keith was sporting some very smart new safety glasses.
First squad to the mound and and when the vernier callipers were applied they seemed to know what they were doing.
Scorers were looking for the 1/2" OD or less groups, the spreadsheet adjusted for calibre to keep it all fair. Consistency was to be admired when scoring cards from both Frank and John Senior. Brian submitted cards for additional scoring and entry into the clubs handicap analysis with a very credible 372/400. Tightest group of the day went to Keith with 0.31 inch OD.
The day was well attended, fun and moved along nicely, all NZ political woes were easily addressed at morning tea without any raised voices unlike the recent debates on TV.
The scorer was provided with a very nice choice of home baking from Mrs Kay which had no bearing on the final scores, nice try Nigel.
