TARC 3.12.22
Silhouettes 2 chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams.
There was keen competition for the mirrored Silhouettes at 15 metres to try for a clear frame of 8 targets five times. At the end there was a total of 13 clear frames. After 3 frames John Costain was running hot only missing two targets, and Frank Eustace at this stage going clear. Tim W. finished strongly with 2 clear rounds to end on 37/40. Tim you do need to check your pressure of air, it could have been so different, and talking of pressure All the pressure then came on Frank , who had missed one chicken on the 4th round. Two misses and his lead would have evaporated but he held his nerve and finished on 39/40 for a win. Mark Evans was sitting on a hat trick of wins for the trophy, came in with a solid 35/40 for third with the same score as Geoff Coubrough. With the Rams 4 times the mass of chickens you would think they couldn't be missed, not so, more than once a Ram was left standing mocking the shooter. When the silhouettes get hit there is a great noise as it clangs into the catch box, and then there is the great silence when there is a miss. We all dread that!! It was a great competition and every one enjoyed the challenge. Scores were: Frank Eustace 39/40, Tim W. 37/40, Mark Evans 35/40, Geoff Coubrough 35/40John Costain 34/40, Nigel Kay 34/40, Aussie John 22/40.
