Taranaki Air Rifle 29.10.22
Air Rifle shooters were vertically challenged with shooting from a standing and unsupported position. Getting off steady good shots wasn't easy. It is a skill that needs concentration and plenty of practice. The most improved shooter went to new shooter Paul Kuriger. Paul also had the second highest score of the day . All shooters struggled with this discipline and lack of practice showed up on the day. Frank Eustace managed first, but only coming out top of the pack by a good final 2 rounds. So the top 3 shooters were : Frank Eustace 202, Paul Kuriger 174, Geoff Coubrough 161. All the other shooters shot well considering lack of practice and are looking forward to shooting outside next Saturday .
It is only one month to end of a very successful season of Air Rifle shooting. All the cheerful banter over a cuppa I think is almost more fun than the more serious competition side.
To look forward to is the 30/50 metre club challenge in November. TBA.
Christmas BBQ Saturday 10th December-lunch will follow a themed shoot.
Cheers Frank
