Match report from Frank:
A group of keen air rifle shooters turned up on a wet Saturday morning to do some bench rest field target shooting. Thank goodness for a roof to shoot under. There was no wind but targets proved very hard to knock down. New shooter John got a very credible 4/5. Geoff hit 9/10. Nigel took some time to get the yardage right and then knocked down plenty of targets. Mark with his break barrel knocked over 5/5. Tim and his trusty FX had to resort to paper targets to zero in on the 50 metres mark. Frank knocked over the long range and short range targets but mid range targets refused to lie down. All the above are just comments as no scores were kept.
Next Saturday will be bench rest air pistols at 15 yards as a mirrored silhouette target match. Silhouette mixtures of rams, turkeys, pigs and chickens need to be knocked down from the inside out. It sounds easy but it isn't. Last year Brian and Karyn battled it out for the honours. The question is can they do it again? I think the challenges are going to be coming thick and fast.
That's about all from me. We are in challenging times so go safe everyone. The traffic lights are on!
