Outdoor 50 Metre Airguns
Targets and Field targets.
Conditions were perfect being warm with a light breeze.
Field Target scores: Nigel 10/10 Geoff 10/10, Brian 10/10, John 10/10, Mark 8/10. Targets were Positioned from 20 to 45 yards, Brian ran a range coaching session at the end of the day which had Mark back on track with 100% knockdowns using a scoped break barrel.
Duelling Tree: This produced some fine efforts with most achieving 6/6 and some extending that to 12/12 indicating that it needs to be adjusted to further challenge the pre-charged rifle users.
50 metre Targets: Geoff put together an early round of 83/100 which remained difficult to match with the increasing breeze.
Mark shot a low scoring 25/100 experimenting with a Crosman 2250B Carbine airgun and was closing-in on a bull after numerous ranging shots and supporting observations from the team.
Fitted with a 24 inch barrel and 7.6 ft/lbs muzzle energy, pictured is a nice 50 metre result using a 3-9x40AO rifle scope. The club holds a high level of interest in the Crosman 2240/50 models with several competitions throughout the year.
