50 Metre Championship
Well what a great start to the day with Mrs Kay's cheese scones (still warm).
Today was hosted by Mark who outlined the activities and shooting format with the twist being different target types for each round. 125mm, 80mm and 50mm diagrams would be used with 10 shots per card over 4 rounds.
Following range setup and an interactive safety briefing 3 squads were organised to allow sighting.
Round 1 was taken by Keith with a 94/100 and he kept the pressure on all morning taking the trophy with 347/400 points.
Scores: Geoff 307, Nigel 329, Brian 282, John 345, Mark 275, Keith 347, Gavin 318, Sean 311, Fiona 305
Keith, Fiona, John and Sean had rounds of 90 or better so with some consistency we will be looking at 360 and above.
Most shooters lost ground with each round however our 2022 Champion John held steady to stay in touch with Keith throughout the day ending with only 2 points between them.
