Outdoor Challenge

50 metre Airgun Championship 2 rounds

Overcast conditions with a steady breeze which began to shift about as the morning progressed. Choosing your moment and getting a number of shots away while the flags were at rest proved effective. While everyone presented good groups and bulls we also struggled to keep every shot in the scoring zone.

For some rifles this is less than 1/2 power and somewhere not often used.

The outdoor range at Eltham is a fantastic asset and a real challenge to airguns, we are all at different skill levels and enjoy matching off against our last result as much as each other. The writer was pleased to shoot two cards with all 40 pellets scoring, a notable improvement on last year and very much down to Wednesday practice and coaching.
