Members came together to shoot for the Steve Smith Memorial Trophy. Frank very kindly submitted the following match report: Everyone loved the concept of the shoot. Tim started off with a 10/10 to lead the first round giving a wakeup call to Geoff, Geoff led the 3rd round total by a slim 4 points from Tim but with a 10/10 to Geoff on the final round he won with a 1524 total with Tim on 1336 2nd. Rifles ruled the day with 4 scores over the 1000 mark. With 0nly 3 shooters doing pistols it soon became obvious that they were on the back foot . The rifles on the multiplier target managed to take out the 10 and 9 ring quite often and that was the secret to a top score. The big thing of the day was everyone seemed to enjoy the shoot. At the end we reminisced about Steve and what a great shooter and person he was. Whether it was Air Rifle or Rim Fire he put up scores that we all would like to aspire too.
